WRD Landfill

The WRD Landfill serves residents of Wayne, Ringgold, and Decatur Counties, as well as businesses, for the disposal of approved waste materials.

Landfill Fees

Dumping Fees

Payment method includes cash or check. Credit or debit cards are not accepted. 

• $74.00 per ton through June 30, 2026
• $76.00 per ton beginning July 1, 2026
• Minimum charge: $20.00 (approximately 540 lbs or less)

Tire Disposal Fees

• Car Tires: $5.00 ($6.00 with rims)
• Truck Tires: $13.50 ($16.00 with rims)
• Tractor Tires: $20.00 ($25.00 with rims)
• Tires by weight: $300.00 per ton

Rims must be removed from tires, or an additional charge will apply.

Appliances

$15.00 per appliance. Includes, but is not limited to:

• Refrigerators & Freezers
• Stoves & Dishwashers
• Water Heaters
• Air Conditioners & Dehumidifiers
• Microwaves
• Washers & Dryers
• Furnaces

Special Materials

Asbestos: $100 per ton ($50 minimum)

Free Items (to be left at weigh building)

Motor Oil – Free
Lead Batteries – Residents free
Antifreeze – Free

• Mufflers and exhaust systems
• Tires
• Appliances
• Antifreeze

Gas tanks must be cut up.

Items NOT Accepted

• Yard waste (trees, limbs, leaves, clippings)
• Propane bottles
• Hazardous or toxic waste
• Ammunition or explosives
• Biological or infectious waste
• Radioactive or shock-sensitive waste
• Liquid paint
• Herbicides and insecticides
• Household hazardous materials
