The Ringgold County Treasurer is responsible for the administration of the Annual Tax Sale and must offer for sale parcels in which taxes have become delinquent, per Iowa Code Chapter 446.

The purpose of the tax sale is to collect unpaid taxes. The Annual Tax Sale takes place the 3rd Monday in June each year. This year's sale will be held 6/21/2027. Guaranteed funds are required for tax payments after 6/4/2027. Delinquent taxes on a parcel subject to sale will be advertised 5/27/2027 in the Mount Ayr Record News. To avoid publication, payment(s) must be received in our office by 5/21/2027. In office payments are accepted until 6/18/2027. Online payments are accepted until midnight on 6/17/2027.

Tax Sale Registration

The tax sale is a live auction held on the 3rd Monday in June at 8:30 a.m. in the Assembly Room of the Ringgold County Courthouse. The "official" listing of parcels will be published in the Mount Ayr Record News and posted in office beginning May 28, 2027. Terms and conditions of the tax sale are available in office or by mail or email request to tpaxson@ringgoldcounty.us. 

The investor is responsible for all research on parcels available for auction.
